How long will it take for me to become a somewhat competitive polo player and play polo in college?

I Am Turning 17 And I Have Been Ridding In The Hunter Jumper Ring Competitively Since I Was 7. I Want To Switch To Playing Polo On Horseback. Even Though I Am Reaching A High Level In The Hunter Jumper Ring My Gut Feeling Is Telling Me That It Is Not For Me.

  • i play polo on a local league. =] it's a ton of fun!
although i'm not super competitive, polo came to me sort of easily. i've only had about a week's work of professional polo lessons, the rest i've learned from friends.
it took me about a month to sort of get it, by 2 months i was decent. now, (2 years later) i'm one of the best on my team.

hope this helps & good luck!
